Jim's Tree Stand - Hunt Camp 2010
Been taking lots of crap lately for not updating the blog since spring. Have got tons of pics in the meantime. Plan on regular updates the rest of the winter.
Jim in his tree stand. Taken on his iPhone. I can take credit for the composition but have no idea why it has the effect it does. Captures the mood perfectly though.

House Guests
Hi everyone,
Sorry for the lack of updates lately. I'm still alive and kicking. Have not posted since I began spring planting. Crazy busy, but almost done - only 96 acres of sunflowers left.
Last night we had two very special house guests, Jonathan and Stephanie. They are about 2/3rds of the way through paddling the entire Canadian shoreline of the Great Lakes. In distance that means they have paddled 2000 of about 3000 total kilometers!!! So, what did you do on your last vacation?
Here are some photos of their visit and links to more information.

Paul & Deb

While in Guanaja there were only two other guests at the place we stayed. Fortunately they were Paul and Deb from Ottawa. We had a great time together.

Remora
I think most of us are familiar with the group of fish called remoras or sharksuckers. Anyone who has watched Jacques Cousteau has seen these fish that have a suction cup attached to their head. Typically they attach themselves to larger marine animals such as sharks, whales, turtles and such. In addition to a free ride, these fish scavenge anything edible left behind by their host.
If you don't know about remoras click on this link.
Luckily it considered its options and decided to turn away and look for something better. Turns out something better was our dive partner Paul. For some reason it took one look at him and fell in love.
